The Massey Ensemble will perform Schubert’s String Quintet in C major, Op. 163, D. 956. Composed during the summer of 1828, only two months before his death on November 19, it was Schubert’s final instrumental composition and is considered one of the greatest masterpieces of the chamber music repertoire. In addition, the ensemble will perform Boccherini’s String Quintet Op 11.

The Massey Ensemble is a London based chamber group comprised of English, Irish and Spanish musicians.
