Heinz Dölling, born in 1913 in Wernitzgrün, Saxony, and passed away in 2001 in Germany, was a skilled bow maker of the highest caliber. He learned his craft from his father, Otto Gustav Dölling, and honed his skills in his father's workshop after completing his apprenticeship. In 1947, he successfully completed his master's examination in Markneukirchen.

Despite the challenges posed by the socialist German Democratic Republic (GDR), Heinz persevered and established himself as a renowned bowmaker on the international stage. He utilized the annual Leipzig trade fair as a platform to showcase his exceptional craftsmanship and build his reputation.

To further his career, Heinz eventually opened his own workshop in Wernitzgrün before relocating to Erlbach. Throughout his professional journey, he gained recognition for his exceptional talent and dedication to the art of bow-making.

Heinz Dölling's legacy lives on through the bows he meticulously crafted during his lifetime. His work continues to be celebrated and sought after by musicians and collectors alike, a testament to his skill and craftsmanship.
