Getting to us

Hackney Council and Transport for London have changed how traffic flows through Stoke Newington Church Street, this has been done to make the area cleaner, greener, and safer, and significantly improve air quality.

It’s an ambitious plan to rebuild a greener Hackney in the aftermath of the pandemic, improve air quality, and help people to walk, cycle and support local businesses as the borough emerges from coronavirus restrictions. It’s also happened in Islington and plans are to spread further across London.

Stoke Newington Church Street has effectively been divided in two with a split marked outside the Red Lion pub.

We have been told by Hackney Council that our customers who need to visit us by car to deliver or collect instruments can do so, outside our shop are double yellow lines, you may pull up to load/unload for up to 20 minutes (if a traffic warden sees your car with no activity they may issue a ticket, so watch out!
We were told that provided you can prove you were parked for no longer than 20 minutes the ticket will be invalid, of course, we will back you up).

If you are coming to us from either Green Lanes or Albion Road direction (West to East) then you can stop outside our shop as stated above for 20 minutes or find pay and display parking in the side streets running off Stoke Newington Church Street.
To leave our shop, turn left (should be the direction you’re already facing) carry on up Stoke Newington Church Street, take the first turning on the left, Lordship Road, continue down Lordship Road and take the first left, Lordship Terrace, continue along here and take the next left, Edwards Lane, this will bring you back onto Stoke Newington Church Street, turning right will now take you back to Albion Road or to Green Lanes.

If you are approaching us from Stoke Newington High Street (East to West) you will either need to park in the pay and display car park in Wilmer Place or find pay and display parking in the side streets running off Stoke Newington Church Street. If you are driving nearly to the Lion pub the turnaround to take you back to the High street is Marton Road.
